Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has released new screenshots that show improved and advanced avatar graphics for Horizon World after netizens criticized the old version for its low resolution and quality.

Based on a report by The Verge, a digital avatar of Zuckerberg was posted on his Facebook and Instagram accounts, along with a separate screenshot of the Eiffel Tower in France and La Sagrada Familia in Spain, so which the company announced that the game will now be available for both countries.

He acknowledged that the photo he posted on August 15 was pretty basic. He added, “It was taken very quickly to celebrate a launch. Horizon’s graphics are capable of so much more – even on headsets – and Horizon is improving very quickly.”

Although the post garnered mixed reviews, the managing director acknowledged what people really want and how they can apply it to their work. Similar to Facebook, the post that features the older version of the avatar has 116,000 reactions with 74,000 likes and 28,000 laugh reactions.

Negative comments were made on Twitter regarding the avatar and its quality, as some people made memes of it.

The game was hinted in the post that it would be available in more countries as Zuckerberg looks forward to people exploring and building “immersive” worlds inside the app.

According to PC Gamer, Meta spent $10 billion to develop this game alone, hence the disappointment of fans as the game was heavily budgeted, but the result didn’t match the numbers.

Meta is one of the best companies in the world that has the means to create a new virtual reality such as this game. Horizon Worlds, released in December 2021, is one of the social applications that Meta offers people. This game gives users the power to create a metaverse made up of different virtual worlds and formerly known as Facebook Horizon, as TechCrunch reports.

Through this app, the company assumes that its loyal users use this platform for their virtual hangouts where they can also spend in-app products.

As Zuckerberg announced the platform’s expansion to France and Spain, Horizon Worlds is also available in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

This game is a mode for users over 18 years old. The company confirmed in a tweet that the web version of the app is in the works so users can experience the game without owning or buying a VR headset.

The game is free and was published by Meta Platforms for Oculus Rift s and Quest 2.
