Pokemon TCG Fan Submits Amazing Cramorant Artwork For Contest

The Pokemon Company held a Pokemon trading card game art competition in recent years, imploring the many artists of the Pokemon community to create unique art for future maps. This has resulted in countless approaches to Pokemon of all generations like the Pokemon TCG is looking for the next community winner, and this year’s contest includes an incredible Cramorant among the entrants.

Reddit user Technicalbuzz posted his Pokemon TCG 2022 competition submission for Cramorant a few days ago, which caught the attention of thousands of Pokemon fans ever since. The Pokemon Company held the same artwork contest in 2021 and entrants like Arcanine, Bulbasaur, Pikachu, Greninja, and even different versions of Cramorant that share minimal similarities with Technicalbuzz have been featured in this contest as well as this year. Pokemon TCG fans had October last year to February this year to submit their fan art for the 2022 TCG Artwork Contest, with Technicalbuzz being left out of the top three despite their fantastic Cramorant.

Cramorant from Technicalbuzz Pokemon TCG The artwork shows the flying-type Pokemon gliding towards what looks like the ocean in an attempt to grab some food. The Pokémon’s perspective is from the surface of the water, and it adopts a fish-eye lens aesthetic commonly used in music and skateboarding videos, with Cramorant in the middle and the world warping in a circular fashion. Unlike some other Pokemon TCG Artwork contest participants, Technicalbuzz’s entry features a Water-type Pokemon in the form of a fish that Cramorant tries to catch called Barraskewda.

The winners of the 2022 edition Pokemon TCG illustration contests have been selected, and the top three include two Gen 1 Pokémon, Arcanine and Bulbasaur. The odd Pokemon in the winning circle is the Gen 6 starter evolution Greninja, which is one of the most popular Pokemon in the world. The big winner is a Pokemon fan known as Rend who entered with an incredible idle Arcanine, while the Japanese winner was Kasai Taiga with a jubilant Bulbasaur, and the American winner was Julie Hang with an ominous Greninja.

Although the Pokemon TCG celebrated the winners of the illustration contest, Technicalbuzz’s Cramorant fan art alone captured the attention of over 11,000 fans. While many Pokemon With fans expecting the usual suspects from this year’s Artwork Contest like Charizard, Squirtle, and Pikachu, many replies to Technicalbuzz’s post celebrated the unique choice of Pokemon. Some comments agree that the Pokemon Arcanine, Bulbasaur, and Greninja winners each earned their place in the top three of this year’s illustration contest, but many Pokemon TCG fans lament that Technicalbuzz’s Cramorant was not selected.
