The ERI Group has announced that six outstanding individuals from six provinces will be this year’s recipients of the Richard Miller Prize for Education.
The award for providing financial assistance and encouragement to people who wish to continue their education or training has been awarded to applicants from ERI member companies for over 20 years.
Ms. Ashton Aumen, Ms. Talia Doll, Ms. Halle Dyck, Ms. Kirsten Tervelde, Mr. Gabriel Bélanger and Ms. Erin Steeves each received a check for $ 1,000 to help them continue their education.
“We congratulate each of them on their success and wish them good luck in their chosen vocations,” says The ERI Group. “We also congratulate all of our applicants this year for continuing their training or education.

Rick Miller Education Award winners pursue a variety of educational avenues:
Ashton Aumen of Duncan, British Columbia, completed four years of undergraduate studies at the University of Victoria and enrolled in the Recreation and Health Education program. Ashton will be completing his degree at the end of this year.
Talia Doll of Peace River, Alta., Is in a four-year program at the University of Victoria for her BA in Psychology. Talia plans to continue her studies with a doctorate. in psychology, so that she can pursue the desired career in psychology.
Halle Dyck of East St. Paul, Manitoba is a five-year program at the Price Faculty of Engineering at the University of Manitoba. Halle hopes to pursue a career in civil engineering.
Kirsten Tervelde of Stouffville, Ont., Is in her first year of studies in the Arts and Social Sciences program at Carlton University. Kirsten begins her post-secondary education towards her ultimate goal of becoming an architect.
Gabriel Bélanger from Saint-Sulpice, Quebec is following a three-year program at Collège de Maisonneuve in multimedia integration techniques. Gabriel plans to use the program in web design, animation, and graphic design to help him achieve his career as a web designer.
Erin Steeves of Shediac Cape, New Brunswick, is entering her fourth year of a five-year Doctor of Dental Surgery program in the Faculty of Dentistry at Dalhousie University. Erin’s ultimate goal is to pursue a career in dentistry.
